Acting on a tip-off, sleuths laid a trap and caught the panchayat coordinator Manoj Saxena red-handed while he was taking Rs 2,000 as bribe at Pachore town under Narsinghgarh sub division in the district, Lokayukta's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) N S Rathore said.
The dalit beneficiary identified as Bhanwarlal was sanctioned Rs 70,000 under Indira Awas Yojna and in July 2015 he had received the first instalment of Rs 35,000, the DSP said.
According to the officer, a case under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him in this regard and investigations are underway.
