Panchayat Secretary sacked for embezzlement of funds under IAY

A Panchayat Secretary was sacked today on corruption charge in Bihar's Munger district, an official said today.
District Magistrate Narendra Kumar Singh said that he has sacked Upendra Kumar Chaurasia, posted in Dariyapur panchayat as its Secretary on corruption charge.
He said that he removed Chaurasia from service on the basis of an inquiry report which found the latter guilty of embezzlement of Rs. 20 lakh in 2010 from the Indira Awas Yojana (IAY).
