Hospital superintendent Devanand Prasad Singh told PTI that he has informed the Principal Secretary of Health R K Mahajan about the prevailing condition of the Panchkarma unit.
Harassment of employees by the principal and a sharp fall in the number of patients were some of the problems plaguing the hospital at Kadamkuan area of the city, he said.
Singh said, many employees, including doctors posted in the unit, cook and kitchen attendants had given him written complaints against the Principal, Dineshwar Prasad.
The specialised Panchkarma unit to treat serious diseases like arthritis, facial paralysis, skin diseases and migrain by detoxifying to achieve balance in body, mind and consciousness started in 2007 during Nitish Kumar's first term as chief minister.
The Principal could not be contacted for his comments.
