According to Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of SMC, the commission has moved the court after it failed to get response from both the state governments on the issue of CBI inquiry.
"Thousands of crores of rupees worth of Waqf properties have been encroached upon in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. We have written several letters to both the governments seeking NOC for CBI inquiry. They (both the states) have not given their consent so far. We had no option but to knock court's door," Khan told reporters.
