Panguniutiram festival celebrated

The Panguniuthiram festival was celebrated at the famous Sri Ranganathaswamy temple here when thousands of people offered worship to Lord Ranganatha and Goddess Ranganayaki.
Earlier the Lord Rananatha was taken in a procession through the Uthira and chitra streets,and taken to Goddes Ranganayaki sannathi where "Mathayadi Uthsavam"was held.
The Uthiram car festival would be held tomorrow.
In Madurai, Panguni uthiram festival was celebrated at Sri Kallazhagar, Koodal azhagar, Tirumogur and Tiruparankunram temples when thousands of devotees offered prayers to the deities.
