Par fails to transact business for second day amid BJP uproar

Parliament failed to transact any business for the second day today as BJP sharpened its attack on government by creating uproar seeking resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and dismissal of Law Minister Ashwani Kumar on coal block scam and 2G issues.
Proceedings in both Houses were also disrupted as SP members slammed the government over Chinese incursions in Ladakh and Trinamool Congress accused the Centre of meting out step-motherly treatment to West Bengal.
While the Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day after one adjournment during Question Hour, Rajya Sabha witnessed two adjournments till 2 PM when it called it a day amid slogan-shouting by opposition members in the Well.

BJP demanded the Prime Minister's resignation and sacking of the Law Minister alleging interference by Kumar in preparation of the CBI report to Supreme Court on the coal scam, while DMK sought resignation of P C Chacko as Chairman of Joint Parliamentary Committee looking into the 2G issue.
BJP was on the offensive soon after both Houses met for the day as its members trooped into the Well raising slogans like "Pradhan Mantri Isteefa do (Prime Minister resign)" and "kanoon mantri ko barkhast karo (Sack Law Minister)". They were joined by other opposition members.
As Lok Sabha met at noon after the first adjournment, BJP, Trinamool Congress, SP and Left members trooped into the Well raising slogans on their respective demands.

A group of Congress members raised vociferous slogans and waved placards demanding a separate Telangana state. A TDP member was also in the Well with a similar placard.

Left members shouted slogans against "state-sponsored violence" in Mamata Banerjee-ruled West Bengal.
Seeking to raise the Telecom issue in the din, slogan shouting DMK members rushed to the Well while former Telecom Minister A Raja stood in the aisle.
As the din continued, AIADMK leader M Thambidurai who was in the Chair, adjourned the House for the day.
Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha with slogan shouting BJP members trooping into the Well demanding Prime Minister's resignation, forcing its adjournment first till noon and later till 2 PM.

When the House met again, BJP members created fresh uproar forcing Deputy Chairman P J Kurien to adjourn the House for the day.
