'Parichay sammelan' organised

The Vaishya Sewa Samiti organised 'prospective partners parichay sammelan' at the Ghanta Ghar Ram Lila Maidan here, in a bid to help people find their life partners.
At the programme, Pankaj Singh, BJP's Uttar Pradesh state general secretary and son of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, said such programmed would help eradicate the menace of dowry.
V K Aggarwal of the samiti said as many as 38 marriages have been settled in the sammelan this year, and that the organisation will help financially to the parents of poor girls in solemnising their marriage.
A total of 950 boys and girls got their names registered for the two-day 'parichay sammelan', he said.
