Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is mighty impressed with his "Meri Pyaari Bindu" co-star Parineeti Chopra's singing skills and wants her to pursue it as a full-fledged career.
Ayushmann, who himself is a successful playback singer besides a music band of his own, said he had no clue Parineeti was such a good singer until he met her on the set of "Meri Pyaari Bindu".
"Parineet is fabulous. She has got a great voice and she is classically-trained. She should really take her singing seriously because she is brilliant," the 31-year-old actor told PTI.
Ayushmann says he hit it off with the 27-year-old "Kill Dil" actress, who plays an aspiring singer in the movie, instantly due to their love for music.
"We bonded over music. There's not a single moment on the set when we are not jamming. It's so much fun jamming with her. We want to sing a duet. Parineeti and I also connected because we are not filmy people, we are real and very simple."
The film, which marks the directorial debut of Akshay Roy, will see Ayushmann playing a Bengali.
The "Dum Laga Ke Haisha" star says the character has helped him know Bengali culture like never before.
"Apart from learning Bengali language, the film has actually brought me closer to the culture, to Bengali people. I now understand them better and I am loving my time here in Kolkata.
