"Pray to the Lord, who will wipe away all your tears and solve the problem," the pastor told the man last night when he sought his advice over repaying a Rs 80,000 loan he had taken.
The infuriated man, staying next to the pastor at a lodge in the city, then took out a beer bottle, broke it and stabbed the pastor in the neck, police said.
The 40-year-old pastor has been hospitalised.
