"A security discussion was organised in Pathankot on 16 and 17 March with a view to synergising the efforts of various agencies involved with security of rear areas, particularly Army and police forces," PRO MoD, Jammu, Lt Col Manish Mehta said today.
The two-day meeting which began yesterday, was attended by senior officers from the civil administration, police, CRPF, RPF, NCC, representatives of Nehru Yuva Kendra, apart from higher commanders of Army.
The contribution of NCC Cadets, members of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Village Defence Committees and Veterans was also discussed, he said.
