The National Livestock Championship and Expo-2020, an annual event to to promote livestock farming, would be organised by the Punjab government from February 6-8 next year at Batala, a state minister said on Thursday.
Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Dairy Development Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said that livestock farmers would share their success stories and experts would provide the latest information on this profession during the event.
Bajwa also said that livestock breeding and milching competitions would be held during the national level livestock championship.
In addition, competition among various breeds of horses, buffaloes, cows, sheep, goats and dogs would also be held and attractive prizes would be given to the owners of the winning animals.
