Several senior SAD leaders, including Rajya Sabha member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Lok Sabha member Prem Singh Chandumajra, in a press conference held at Punjab Bhawan here, alleged that AAP leader Durgesh Pathak has made a "derogatory remark" against his own party member Hardip Singh Kingra.
AAP spokesperson Dilip Bajpai, reacting to it, said "parties like SAD, have no issues to fight Punjab elections, so they are trying to stoke communal frenzy. We (AAP) on the other hand, are entering the fray to fight on planks of drugs and development issues."
"We have written to the Jathedar of the Akal Takht in Amritsar to declare AAP as anti-Sikh," Chandumajra, an MP from Anadpur Sahib, said.
President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Manjit Singh was alos present at the press conference.
