Pb sacrilege: Moga peace committee pledges support to admin

The Moga district peace committee today assured the administration of their full cooperation in maintaining peace and communal harmony, in the wake of a series of alleged desecration incidents reported in the state.
The peace committee meeting was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner Parminder Singh Gill today, which was also attended by SSP Mukhvinder Singh, the SDMs, political party representatives, NGOs, advocates and other intellectuals.
The Deputy Commissioner while addressing the committee members called upon them to extend their full cooperation to the district administration to maintain peace.
Maheshinder Singh, MLA Bhagapurana and Tirath Singh, Mahla President SAD Badal (Moga district) condemned the sacrilege incidents in Moga and called for unity in the face of adversity.

On November 11, burnt pages of Guru Granth Sahib along with some Hindu scriptures were recovered from a canal near Kachha Ghal Kalan road here.
