Opposition National Conference today accused the PDP and BJP of working at "cross-purposes" and alleged that the coalition has failed in meeting the basic minimum expectations of the people of the state.
"The government is a non-starter as it has not yet molded itself in governing mode," Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana said while addressing a public meeting in Nagrota today.
He said the government has failed to meet the minimum basic expectations of the people of the state.
"People's accumulated problems and woes have taken menacing proportions with administration showing least concern or seriousness towards solving these," he said.
He said the government is working at cross-purposes and ideological trauma between the coalition partners has transformed it into a rudderless ship. "One hand does not really know what other is doing.
"The confusion and chaos prevailing at administrative level speaks volumes about the situation developing in near future. The end sufferers would obviously be the poor people of this state," he alleged.
He demanded enhanced power procurement to meet the growing demand of the people of Jammu region in the wake of scorching summer, "What the state achieved in the past six years has been negated in split seconds," he said while regretting that due to "reckless policies peace and development has been made a huge causality".
Terming the two parties as "self-centred", he said the people have been paying huge price for reposing their trust in the coalition.
"They have forged alliance just for lust of power and not serving the people, which has been proven in immense measure," he said.
