Hitting out at ruling PDP-BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir, Congress today said the government has failed on many fronts even after completing more than 100 days as "it was marred with controversies".
"The PDP-BJP government has failed to take off even after more than 100 days as it has created lots of controversies and hatred between different regions and sections of the state in view of their contradictory and narrow politics," Congress' state unit chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir said.
Addressing party workers and public in this frontier district today, Mir said, "At the time of forming the coalition, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had claimed that it would bring the regions closer and secure massive financial support from the Centre."
"It has miserably failed on both these fronts and as a result people of three regions are suffering," he said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief said that the party alone can ensure equitable development of all the three regions - Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh - with special attention towards neglected, remote and backward areas.
Mir said that Congress represents each and every section, region and religion of the society and has the vision, policies and programmes for welfare and unification of people of different shades.
"The party alone can ensure justice in every sphere of life and equitable development of all three regions and the backward and remote areas in the state," the state Congress chief said.
