The business of the House was run by Deputy Speaker Sartaj Madni in the chair and with the PDP members not turning up.
Pointing towards the absence of the PDP, Minister for Rural Development Ali Mohammad Sagar said that they (PDP) should play the role of the Opposition.
"They had also boycotted the business advisory meeting yesterday", he said.
Sagar was joined by Law Minister Mir Saif-ullah, who said, the PDP should spell out the reason for the boycott.
Meanwhile, the PDP today met here under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti and took stock of the situation arising out of the killings in Srinagar and subsequent imposition of curfew in various parts of Kashmir.
The PDP legislature party expressed grave concern over the perpetuation of uncertainty at all levels, further compounded by incidents of violence taking its toll, a statement of PDP, said here today.
Accusing the state government of brazenly attempting to conceal truth and refusing to acknowledge its failure and mis-governance, it said that the government has become oblivious and insensitive and is hell bent on further vitiating the peace and tranquillity of the state.
