Ruling Peoples Democratic Party in Jammu and Kashmir today expressed grief over the death of a youth in security forces firing in Budgam district and appealed to the forces to follow standard operating procedure.
"Bullets are no answer to stones and it is high time for the forces to follow the standard operating procedure (SOP)," PDP general secretary Rafi Mir said in a statement.
Mir said, "forces need to get sensitised as non-compliance of SOP brings instability in the peace process".
Expressing sympathies with the bereaved family, Mir said the PDP stands with the people in distress and justice shall prevail.
