Former MP Tariq Hameed Karra, who recently resigned from the PDP to join the Congress, today said the Mehbooba Mufti-led party would be decimated by its own weight and for its misdeeds.
"PDP has totally surrendered before the RSS and the BJP and their agenda on Kashmir. Even smaller issues of governance are being dictated by the RSS and are implemented on its direction," Karra told reporters here this evening.
Karra, who arrived in Jammu for the first time after joining the Congress in the presence of the party's president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi last week, was received by his supporters and taken in a cavalcade to the party's state unit headquarters in Jammu.
Karra, a founder member of the PDP along with late Chief Minister Mufti Mohmmad Sayeed and MP Muzaffar Hussain Beigh, said, "There is no need of external forces to break the PDP. The PDP will get decimated by its own weight and for its own misdeeds."
Karra also lashed out at the PDP, saying that whatever has happened in the shape of unrest last year in Kashmir Valley was not an ideology of the PDP.
"I had on many occasions spoke to late Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and advised him before having an alliance with the BJP, but they did not listen to me," the former Srinagar MP said.
