Gogoi, leader of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), was on a three-day sit-in demonstration in front of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) head office here demanding a probe into the alleged corruption in the recently-declared results of state civil services examinations.
They also want the removal of the present chairman of the APSC, Rakesh Kumar Paul.
"The Principal Controller of Examinations of APSC lodged an FIR that Gogoi's supporters were not allowing APSC employees to go inside the office. This is disruption to government servants from discharging their duties," Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) Suprotive Lal Baruah said.
"We produced them in the Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court. The Court sent them to 14 days' judicial custody," Baruah said.
