Pedestrian kills self by jumping in front of moving car

A pedestrian allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving car on a busy road here, police said today.
"The incident occurred at around 5.30 PM on September 14, when the pedestrian while crossing the road suddenly laid down on the road and came under the wheels of a car and died on the spot," Langer House Police Station Inspector Md Javeed said.
The incident was caught on a CCTV camera, he said.
A case under IPC section 304 A (causing death by negligence) was registered in the initial stage.
However, during probe police found that the Community CCTV in the area had recorded the incident which showed that the deceased person had infact jumped in front of the car, said the inspector.

As per the official, police are now in the process of altering the sections in the case.
"The car driver was not arrested," the inspector said, adding a probe was on.
