Peeyush Pandey gets about two year extension in SPG

IPS officer Peeyush Pandey was given nearly two year's extension as Inspector General in Special Protection Group (SPG).
The tenure of Pandey, a 1993 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre, has been extended from March 15, 2015 to December 17, 2016, an order by Department of Personnel and Training said.
Besides the Prime Minister, the SPG guards the former PMs and their immediate family.
