Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das Tuesday said the people of the country have "rejected" politics of dynasty and family as it is "undemocratic".

"Dynasty is at its peak in JMM and Congress. Other than a member of the family no other person can find a place in these parties. But it is not the case with the BJP. Any common worker of the BJP can become prime minister and chief minister," Das told a poll meeting at Chatra in support of its candidate Sunil Singh.

"Those who are indulging in politics of dynasty are in favour of politics of negativity and wish to take the state and the country backwards. They think the country is their fiefdom," Das said.

Asking the tribals to remain vigilant, Das said that in a recent meeting in the Santhal Pargana region of the state, the youth alleged that the JMM had exploited them during the last several years.

"The JMM remained indifferent," he said, adding it was irony that both the Congress and the JMM sought votes to root out poverty but "failed" to eradicate it for decades.

Listing out both the central and state governments welfare schemes, Das asked the people of Chatra to compare the districts condition before 2014 and thereafter.

"The people of Chatra should analyse the difference impartially, and you can see the change, and this will continue in the future," Das said.

Das said that the Modi government had set up Skill Development ministry under which the youth were trained and Jharkhand also benefited from it with 1.05 lakh youth getting skilled jobs.

Listing out the governments work in electrification, Ayushman Bharat, he said, the state had defined the domicile policy and the youth of the districts like Chatra would not find it difficult to get employment in Class-III and Class-IV category for the next 10 years as only the local residents would get jobs in those two categories.

Claiming that casteism and communalism were raked up during elections, Das said during the Narendra Modi regime schemes were given without any discrimination.

"The corrupt people have joined hands to remove Modi Ji. You (people) need to be vigilant so that you can assess the correct leadership ... under the leadership of Modi, Chatra is being rooted out of extremism and extremist-related incidents decreased since 2014," Das said.

He said that the governments effort was to break the backbone of extremism and it has succeeded to the maximum extent in controlling the ultra-left wing extremism. "This has been possible because of a government with stability and clear policies," he added.

Lauding Modi for his zero tolerance against terrorism, Das said for the BJP, security of the country was foremost and the Central government had eliminated several terrorists after Uri and Pulwama terror attacks.

"Such responses could have taken place earlier too when several people were killed during Mumbai terror attack. But the then government was weak and lacked political will, allowing terrorists to attack," Das said.
