Khattar was addressing the members of two communities of village Atali, who had called on to thank him here today for getting their issue resolved mutually and peacefully, an official release said here.
In June this year, Atali village had been marred by communal clashes.
Greeting the villagers on the occasion of Diwali, the Chief Minister announced Rs one crore for various development works of Atali village.
Asserting that "we were united, we are united and we would always remain united," the Chief Minister said that these incidents should not happen in the society as these weaken the social fabric of any state or nation.
He expressed happiness that the people of the village have taken the pledge to live together and hoped that they would set a unique example of peace and brotherhood in the state.
He urged the people of the village to always remain united and take the state further on the path of development.
