People to have say in policy, legislation in Haryana

Haryana government has decided to seek public's suggestions at various stages of policy formulation, regulation and legislation so as to ensure good governance.
These suggestions will be sought through online mechanism.
"All administrative secretaries and heads of departments have been asked to ensure that before passing the drafts of policy, regulation and legislation, they are put on the website of the department concerned for inviting suggestions and comments of the general public," said a spokesperson of the state Administrative Reforms Department.
"They have also been directed to compile the suggestions and comments and to display on the website as to how those suggestions have been incorporated in the final notification," he added.
