Union Minister Ananth Kumar today exuded confidence that a BJP-led alliance will romp to power in Bihar and claimed a public mood in favour of NDA's prospects in the Assembly elections due later this year.
"A favourable atmosphere prevails in Bihar for the BJP-led coalition as people want to usher in a change of guard for good governance and development," he told reporters on the sidelines of BJP's strategic meeting to review poll preparations in the state.
"It requires two wheels to run in the same direction to reach a destination, which in Bihar's case has to be a government of a party which also rules at the Centre," Kumar, who was the state unit BJP in-charge for Assembly polls, said.
This time, the people of Bihar understands it would be good in the interests of the state if they elected the BJP to power, the Union Minister said.
Kumar also emphasized on fine tuning strategy to take advantage of favourable political atmosphere in order to win the Assembly elections.
The BJP's strategic closed-door meeting was attended among others by the Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, party's organising secretary Saudan Singh, state unit in- charge Bhupendra Singh, former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Nandkishore Yadav and party's state unit chief Mangal Pandey.
