Person shot dead over dispute in Bihar

One person was shot dead at a place under town police station of Bihar's Lakhisarai district today.
Police identified the deceased as Kumar Sarat Chandra (70) and said he was a former secretary of Balika Vidyapeeth in Lakhisarai town.
Lakhisarai Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar said four to five alleged criminals attacked Chandra. They fled after commiting the murder.
The SP said the killing seems to be a fallout of some dispute and the police is conducting raids to nab the killers.
Meanwhile, angry over the murder, several persons blocked National Highway - 50 for sometime. They lifted the blockade after police officials assured them of action against the culprits.
