Petition on probe into Gandhian's death adjourned to Aug 13

: Madras High Court today adjourned to August 13, a petition filed by the son of a Gandhian Sasi Perumal, seeking a probe by a retired or sitting judge into the death of his father during an anti liquor stir on July 31.
Justice M M Sundresh, before whom the petition filed by the man's son Vivek came up, adjourned it to that date.
The petitioner contended that there are different versions over the death of his father and sought a probe by a committee, headed by a Sitting or retired High Court Judge.
Justice Sundresh after ordering notice to the authorities concerned and adjourned the matter to August 13.
