Produced by Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films, the film was made at the cost of Rs 21 crore and had recovered Rs 12 crore from satellite and music rights before release.
"Phillauri has found its own audience - who have discovered it, adopted it and made it their own. We are happy that the film is holding steady and has turned profitable," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement.
Also starring Diljit Dosanjh, the romantic-drama chronicles the story of a young man (Suraj Sharma) who meets a friendly spirit (Anushka) after he reluctantly marries a tree to ward off any threats to his love life.
