Yonath termed Ramchandran, with whom she competed as young researcher, as source of inspiration, a release issued by the varsity said here today.
The Nobel Laureate was invited by the university to deliver a lecture at its campus in Tramba on the city's outskirts on February 27.
Ramchandran was well known for his work that led to the creation of Ramchandran plot for understanding peptide structure.
She also inaugurated bioresearch and characterisation centre at the varsity campus.
