Pilgrim dies of cardiac arrest in Katra

A pilgrim, who was on his way to the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, allegedly died of cardiac arrest in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Parmodh Malu (55), a resident of Surat in Gujarat, suffered a cardiac arrest in the Himkoti area while he was on his way to the cave shrine in the Katra town of the district yesterday, they said.
Malu was rushed to a nearby dispensary where the doctors declared him brought dead, police said.
Police said that the deceased was accompanied by his wife when he suddenly fell unconscious and was shifted to the dispensary.
The body was handed over after completing all legal and medical formalities, police said.
