Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra launched the yatra registration slip system yesterday at Katra in Reasi district, the base camp for Vaishnodevi pilgrimage.
The Governor, who is also chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, viewed the functioning of the new system, the officials said.
Vohra was informed 60 counters would be set up for issuing yatra access cards, they said.
Under the new system, every pilgrim visiting the shrine would be photographed and his relevant data captured in Board's data bank, the officials said.
