Pioneer of ISKON Odisha movement dead

Noted educationist, writer and a pioneer of ISKON movement in Odisha Fakir Mohan Das passed away in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
Das was 90. He was undergoing treatment at the hospital before he passed away yesterday, family sources said.
A former professor in Utkal University, Das hailed from Kendrapara district and was a bachelor. After retiring from the Utkal University in 1986, Das had started doing extensive research works on the Goudia Baishava literature and had gathered extensive knowledge on the ancient literature.
People from various walks of life condoled his death and the last rites were performed at Puri today, his relatives said.
