The play has resumed after a rain delay on the second day of the first cricket Test between India and Australia here today.
On a stop-start kind of a day, rain interrupted the match at least thrice.
Heavy showers had first stopped the morning proceedings, forcing the umpires to declare an early lunch.
After the lunch break, the match had resumed for a brief period, where only two more overs could be bowled before the covers were brought in.
The play started again after a delay of about two hours but had to be stopped once more with rains coming down heavily.
Australia were placed at a commanding 473 for six in 111 overs with Steven Smith on unbeaten 142 and skipper Michael Clarke on 109.
