Interacting with the 25 Officer Trainees of the 2013 batch, Modi exhorted them to learn as much as possible about India, so that they can highlight the strengths of the country, in the right context, in the place of their postings, a PMO statement said.
He urged them to become especially well-versed in matters related to the economy and energy security, while also developing a good knowledge of history and culture, it added.
The diaspora represent a great strength for India, across the world, he underlined.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Principal Secretary to PM Nripendra Misra, Additional Principal Secretary to PM P K Mishra and Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar were present at the interaction.
