Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted the leaders of BIMSTEC countries on the grouping's 21st anniversary, saying the shared values will further strengthen cooperation and pave way for heightened development.
The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) comprises Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal.
"Greetings to fellow leaders and citizens of BIMSTEC on its 21st anniversary. Our shared values will further strengthen our friendship and cooperation, and pave way for heightened development of this region which is among the youngest and fastest growing economies of the world," Modi tweeted.
