greeted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on her assumption of office and said the Centre would work closely with the new government.
"Congratulations to Jayalalithaaji and her team on taking oath. Centre will work closely with new Govt. For progress of TN," the Prime Minister said in a tweet.
Jayalalithaa assumed office as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for a second consecutive term today.
Along with her, 28 others too were sworn in as ministers.
Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah administered the oath of office and secrecy to them at a function at the Madras University Centenary Auditorium.
