PM Modi pays tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee on the birth anniversary of the Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder.
He shared a picture on Twitter of Mookerjee with Babasaheb Ambedkar and said "both were ministerial colleagues and had a futuristic vision for India's growth".
Modi also praised senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley for his blog post on Mookerjee, saying it highlighted the Bharatiya Jan Sangh founder's commitment towards a "strong and united India as well as the anti-democratic nature of the Congress".
The prime minister and other eminent dignitaries also paid tributes to Mookerjee in Parliament.
