Congress MP Raj Babbar today said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Alwar's Imran Khan in his speech in London he failed to portray a clear picture of the country by not mentioning the Dadri lynching.
"The Prime Minister said in his speech that 'India resides in Imran of Alwar'. It is an incomplete sentence. It would have been completed if he had said that 'my India does not reside in those involved in Dadri incident' as well," Babbar said at a function in University of Rajasthan here.
Modi, while speaking in London on November 3, had praised Sanskrit teacher Imran Khan of Alwar, who developed and dedicated several mobile apps to students for free use.
Babbar asked the students to follow the ideology which teaches brotherhood and stressed that students should work in a direction which leads him to a distinguished place in the society.
"This (university) is the place where Congress held its national convention and Congress leaders stayed here on campus. Do not think that they were from Congress but think and remember that they had played important role in the freedom of the nation.
"Try to find out good things. Try to follow an ideology which teaches you brotherhood," the actor-turned-politician said.
The Rajya Sabha MP also asked the youth to stand against casteism and said a youth is known as a youth, and not by his caste, creed or religion.
Babbar was addressing the students on the inauguration of the office of students' union of Rajasthan University in the presence of VC J P Singhal, state Congress president Sachin Pilot, former Union minister Namonarain Meena and others.
