PM's security team at Saifai ahead of Mulayam kin's 'tilak'

Around 1.25 lakh invitees, including the country's high and mighty, are likely to attend the "tilak" ceremony of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's grandnephew Tej Pratap Yadav in Etawah on February 21.
To oversee the preparations, Uttar Pradesh DGP A K Jain today visited the native village of the SP chief, Saifai in Etawah as VVIPs including Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to bless the prospective groom, IG (Public Grievance) A Mutha Jain said in Lucknow.
As the Prime Minister and several of his ministerial colleagues are expected to take part in the ceremony, the DGP took stock of the preparations, the IG said.
IG (Kanpur zone) and the range's DIG also accompanied the DGP, Jain said, adding, the DGP reviewed the security arrangements for the VVIP invitees, traffic and other details.
Meanwhile, in view of Modi's expected visit, his security team today visited the venue and reviewed the arrangements.
"Though there is no official confirmation of the Prime Minister's visit, advance security teams of PM have reached Saifai, where Tilak ceremony is to be held. I have not yet received official programme of the PM," District Magistrate, Etawah, Nitin Bansal, said.
Mainpuri MP Tej Pratap and the youngest daughter of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav had got engaged on December 16.
They will tie knot on February 26 in Delhi.
Mulayam has extended invitation to Modi besides top leaders of the country, including Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
