Briefing reporters, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma today said that the airport issue was pending for a long time.
"Chandigarh International Airport was a pending demand for a long time. There was a demand from both states of Haryana and Punjab. I am happy to declare that on September 11, Prime Minister is going to inaugurate the airport," he said.
He also said that he would participate in the international Ramayana Conference organised by the Ramayana Centre in Mauritius starting August 21.
