Prime Minister Narendra Modi will next month review the progress of infrastructure projects across sectors such as coal, power and roads.
"The Prime Minister has called a meeting to review the progress of different infrastructure projects being implemented under different ministries on March 4," an official said.
Secretaries of various ministries including power, coal, new and renewable energy and roads will present the current status of their various project during the meeting.
"The Secretaries of various ministries will also present the report on the action taken by their respective ministries in the last two to three months," the official said.
Asserting that infrastructure could play a pivotal role in bolstering India's economic growth, Modi had said in November that concerted efforts have led to rolling out of stuck projects worth Rs 4 lakh crore.
"Infrastructure plays a major role in development of a nation... During the last five six months... Held monthly meetings with the Chief Ministers through video conferencing regarding pending projects... Worth Rs 4 lakh crore have been rolled out," Modi had said.
Seeking more private investment in ongoing infrastructure projects worth USD 100-150 billion, the government had said earlier this month that project structure and regulations are being reviewed to offer investors attractive returns.
