Inaugurating the session Jerzy Witold Pietrewicz, Secretary of State, Ministry of Economy Poland said the country was quite enthused with the partnership with food bowl of India and with the agriculture growth of Punjab and technology of Poland, the state can become food processing hub that can meet requirement of 50 per cent of Asia.
Offering to double its investment to food processing sector, he said that Punjabis and Polish shared the qualities of entrepreneurship underlining the need to focus on advanced technologies in agriculture and food processing, research and development in agriculture besides real organic farming.
He said Poland will intensify the cooperation with Punjab in business sectors in time to come. He said Poland and Punjab will witness economic development by promoting trade exchange.
While addressing the session Krzysatof Grabczuk, Representative of Polish Local Government, said that Poland and Punjab will together explore great business relations.
He said Poland will become promising business partner for Punjab and the both have taken right direction in this field.
Lucyna Jaremczuk, Counsellor General at the Ministry of Economy in her address welcomed and thanked the Punjab Government for inviting Poland to become an active partner in the Investors Summit. She said they were envisaging Punjab as engine of growth in food processing and agriculture sectors.
