According to police, a tip-off was received that Sanjay Sharma (40), would come near CRPF Stand in North Delhi's Jharoda Kalan to visit someone.
"On this information, a team led by ACP Sanjay Sehrawat was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh. The team laid a trap near CRPF Camp Stand and Sharma was apprehended," Joint Commissioner (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.
Yadav said that accused was wanted in a sensational murder of one Rajpal Thekedar of Haryana's Sonepat and he has been declared Proclaimed Offender by the court.
He had been arrested with weapon, therefore, case of Arms Act was also registered against the accused at Police Station Gandhi Nagar.
"The accused was on bail in that case but he did not attend the Court for last four years. He was declared Proclaimed Offender (PO) in that case by the Court concerned.
