A police constable posted at Sahibabad Police Station here was arrested for killing his second wife allegedly over some monetary dispute, police said today.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Rakesh Mishra said that the accused was brought here on police custody for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed that his second wife was forcing him to divorce his first wife. She was also asking him to return the money he had taken from her for some purpose.
The accused took the woman to Mainpuri district on the pretext of some work and shot her thrice and threw her body in a canal, the police said.
The body of of the woman was recovered after two days from the canal.
