Police constable commits suicide by shooting himself in Jammu

A policeman today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle here, police said.
42-year-old Constable Rajinder Singh, who was posted on security duty at the house of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's sister at Bhatandi belt of city, shot himself dead from his INSAS rifle during the wee hours today, they said.
He was shifted to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. After conducting the post-mortem, the body would be handed over to the family for last rites, they said.
The reason behind the suicide is being investigated, they added.
