"Bharat Gadhavi, posted at B Division Police Station, was intercepted by three drunk persons near his residence last night who tried to rob him of his motorbike. One of them stabbed him after he resisted," A V Raijada, in-charge of Taluka police station said.
Gadhavi, was rushed to a civil hospital in a serious condition and then shifted to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
"We have arrested Shakti Zala and his two accomplices on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim's uncle Sanjay Gadhavi," Raijada said.
