Members of Rajput Karni Sena alleged that their leader Lokendra Singh Kalvi was detained by the police ahead of Congress' 'Chintan Shivir' beginning tomorrow.
Kalvi had recently threatened that he would breach security to reach UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi during the conclave along with his supporters to demand reservation.
"Kalvi was picked up by police on Jagatpura road and took to some undisclosed location," Shyam Pratap Singh, a leader of outfit said.
When contacted, Police Commissioner B L Soni denied the charge and said, "Kalvi was not detained or arrested".
However, he confirmed detention of seven activists of the outfit near Jagatpura shooting range saying, "They were planning to create disturbance in tomorrow's Chintan Shivir.
