Police nabs a self-proclaimed godman

Self-proclaimed godman was today arrested by the police from a bus stand here in connection with cheating large number of people.
"Mohammed Irfan, alias Sufi Aladdin Ajmer Wale Baba, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, who allegedly claimed to posses supernatural powers and have cheated large number of people here, was arrested from bus stand area today , a Police officer said.
"He used to dupe people of their hard earned money by promising them of ending their miseries with the supernatural powers he claimed to be possessing", he said.
Police received a complaint that Irfan had duped a man promising him of getting rid from some evil spell, he added.

"We received more than eight complaints against him based on which he was arrested", he said.
Shammi, another accomplice of Irfan who was helping him duping the gullible people has also been arrested, police said.
