As police spokesman said, Parveen Kumar was on his way to deposit the company's money in a bank last Monday when three youths riding a motorcycle attacked him and snatched away the cash bag.
"The accused attacked Kumar with an iron rod and sharp edged weapons, seriously injuring him. They fled after snatching the bag containing Rs 5 lakh", he said.
Kumar was injured in the attack and shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital for treatment where his condition was stated to be stable.
"The police got a clue from the sources and identified one of the accused as Vishal Sharma, who was taken into custody immediately.
During interrogation, he revealed the names of his two accomplices", the spokesman said.
The other two were identified as Bushan Sharma and Jonny. They were also taken into custody and have confessed to the crime, he said, adding, Rs 4.66 lakh was recovered from them.
