The police team was attacked by Azad and his associates when they had gone to arrest his brother Sajid in connection with the robbery case, Superintendent of Police, Jagdish Sharma said.
The attackers also damaged a police vehicle and injured two police constables identified as Amardeep and Nitin, he said.
Sajid along with his associates had allegedly robbed businessmen of Rs 1.70 lakh yesterday, the SP said.
SHO Deoband reached the spot after receiving information about the attack, Sharma said, adding, Sajid and Azad were arrested.
